The Asian Arts Center
has offered Goju Ryu Karate in New Jersey
for over 30 thirty years. Students can learn Okinawan Kobudo with Bojutsu training as well secondary weapons which include Sai, Tunfa, Nunchaku, and Kama. Our classes are structured in several sections which include children, youth and adult sessions. This is wonderful opportunity to study Goju Ryu at any age relative to the correct age appropriate classroom. It is not uncommon for children and their parents to be students, we believe at the Asian Arts Center that family unity and support are at the core of training.
Our school takes pride in our Goju Ryu Syllabus
from which an in-depth study of ancient katas is taught. Additionally students are taught internal breath work, body strengthening and partner drills. We honor the long tradition of practice found in Goju Ryu and we are officially recognized as koryu status which means (classical martial art) granted by the Dai Nippon Butokukai.
The Asian Arts Center has received numerous awards for tournaments for kata and community awards for fostering martial arts for children.
New students are welcome to our school to view classes and learn about the Okinawan art of Goju Ryu Karate. Please call, email or visit to schedule trying a class. Appointments are not necessary to watch classes so feel stop by the dojo and learn about this wonderful martial art.
